Deliverables (Club Dues, Gym Waivers/Fees, and Rosters) will be due by COB Friday, September 11th.
We are a recreational, co-ed volleyball club with no requirements for previous experience or set skill levels. The players and teams typically vary in skill level and age.
Teams may be formed in any way (friends, co-workers, or a team of teamless players), and usually carry a roster of 8-10 players. Several teams have players that are not able to play every game and may carry larger rosters. While there is no cap on the number of players on a roster, there is a minimum of 4 players on the court, of which one player must be a woman, to prevent forfeit. Teams are permitted to borrow players from other teams, the teamless list, or a floating sub list during the regular season only, though please try to avoid this week after week.
Game nights are Mondays and Thursdays each week (with the possibility of Tuesday games, depending on the number of teams registered. Warm-up and equipment set up begins at 5:00 PM on scheduled days. Games begin promptly at 5:30 PM. Each team should expect to play one night per week during regular season other than bye weeks and holiday weeks. At the end of the Fall season, there is a double-elimination tournament at the end of the regular season during which teams may play on both nights depending on the bracket schedule. The Winter season does not have a tournament.
All are encouraged to join us when open play is offered. This is a great way to meet other players and teams, and spend time on the court before the season starts. Open play is typically scheduled before the season starts and on holiday weeks during the regular season. Please check our schedule for dates and times.
